my guitar is beggin for blood like this city is beggin for justice but they’re both, just living a fucking pipe dream
while i’m tryin to fill my fridge i’m tryin to fill in memories of a night when i burned a hole in my mind
but maybe it’s time for us to stop, killin our selves and maybe this is the summer when we should live
spend your days penatentary spend your time in a cubicle i’m havin a hard time, spotting the difference
numb your life or pain with drugs or alcohol or music and i still can not tell you the difference
but maybe it’s time for us to stop, killin our selves and maybe this is the summer when we should live
the hole in the ozone is almost as big as the one where we burn our money
the footprint of my pollution is not much bigger than the gaps in my memory or the skips in my heartbeat
and my heart beats like a wardrum
keeping me marching in line
and my heart beats like a wardrum
and your heart beats like a wardrum
and your heart beats just like mine

there was a time when we were innocent there was a time when we weren’t jaded there was a time when we weren’t fucked but now, we can’t walk a straight line
there was a time when the world was an oyster there was a time when it held a pearl there was a time when i said ‘i love you’ but there’s always someone else
there was a time when you had more money there was a time when we didn’t smoke there was a time when we didn’t need jobs but now we’re all hangin by threads
but we’re not hanging out heads
cause time passes slowly when your waiting and it flys by when you need it most and I’m watching the sun fall through the horizon another day gone, another year at your post
now is the time to stop fucking up and now is the time to straighten our thoughts now is the time for us to sober up and stop making fools of ourselves
now is the time to work together now is the time for you to shut your mouth now is the time for us to win again and take control of our lives
now is the time to break all the rules now is the time to take a new trail now is the time for a camp out cause the city keeps bringin me down and we’ll bring this city to the ground
cause time passes slowly when your waiting and it flys by when you need it most don’t wait until you’re 6 feet under and pushing daisiers live your life before the curtains close

Imagine this place without cars, without roads imagine this place without these superficial homes and who’s the one who decided who should live and who should die i’m not the one who cried aye!
society you’re a hateful killing machine society you’re killing the world, but you won’t kill me
so you devour the crops and the lives of the farmers and they are forced to pack up their car but no matter where they go, no matter where we live we’re surround by that concrete scar (of)
society fueling yourself on your people society fueled by your hate so, society you are fueled by our greed! a snake eating it’s own head and soon we will all be dead and once you and i both leave once again the world will breathe
so, society you’re an awful greedy machine so, society you killed the world you killed the world but you can’t kill me

We are the same people but live different lives live on the same things like bread and water and wine
so why do you hate me why you bringin me down? why must we all fight why can’t we just share this town
i got my friends and you got yours i can’t ask for much more your lockin your windows while we’re opening our doors
my music’s my life you got yours i got mine why we gotta hate every day and every night you think you’re righteous and we are a plight you got your money but we got our will to survive
you keep your money cause i’ve got my will to survive

People float by like cigarette smoke, watching their lives pass by maybe if we stopped just for a second maybe for a second we would try
he says life is awful, look at all the pain, everywhere you look there’s no cheer maybe if cleaned out his hears for a second maybe for a second he would hear
sure life is not all it’s cracked up to be, but you can’t just give in i’m not trying to preach, i’m not sayin not to frown and i’m not saying you should grin! all I’ve got to say is that i’ve got nothing to say; but my heart is deeper than my skin so you hit rock bottom, you couldn’t be worse; maybe that’s when your life will begin
we live in silence to all horrors, in winter, in summer, in spring! maybe if we listened just for a second maybe for a second we would sing
People float by like cigarette smoke, watch as their lives float above maybe if we stopped just for a second maybe for a second we would love
maybe for a second we would love
maybe for a second we’d stop killing each other
maybe for a second we could live

We started the night with forties a plenty and now our arms are as empty as our bellies and our pockets... our pockets are rabbit ears we’re drunk, we want cigarettes and beer i’m drunk and i wanna get out of here is the place where we get fucked up and here is the place were we feel stuck and you... you can be broke anywhere but... but i know that my heart would tear for all the friends that i left behind, to die for all the friends who didn’t have the heart to try
cause we’re sober and scroungin for change we’re repeating history and beggin for change! more than just to fill our pockets something needs to change cause, we’re fucking sick of it !’m not saying to start a revolution cause i’m sure we’d just fuck it up and I sure as hell don’t know the solution I’m just trying not to fuck up my life and everyone’s around me cause i know, i know i can be broke anywhere everyone can be broke anywhere but here we’re broke and surrounded by friends who are broke and surrounded by friends
